About us

Meet Kelly from Vermont, Ross from Hawaii, and their Golden Retriever Ben. Their story began in bustling Los Angeles back in 1989, where they both worked for plumbing companies. Sparks flew, and by 1992, they tied the knot, embarking on a journey together that would span decades.

In 1998, they took a leap of faith and opened a mom-and-pop dog daycare, pouring their hearts into this venture for 25 incredible years. But as time passed, Kelly felt the pull of her New England roots, while Ross dreamed of experiencing all four seasons and indulging in his passion for seafood.

Upon reaching New England, they settled in Exeter, New Hampshire, and began to explore what each state had to offer. Each stop along the journey was an emotional rediscovery for Kelly and a brand-new experience for Ross, as they explored the scenic beauty and rich culture of New England.

In June 2023, they made a life-changing decision. They closed the business, sold their house, and with Ben and two other Golden Retrievers they had been caring for long-term at the time, embarked on an unforgettable three-week road trip across the country.

Excited to share their amazing stories, they decided to capture their adventures and create a YouTube channel, first called Magical New England, and now, Travel New England. Together with Ben they invite you to join them as they uncover the extraordinary aspects of this beautiful region.
